Switch?

I have wordpress running locally on www.makingthesite.com, and it starts to run into problems with server settings and behaving strange in some browsers and such. I have no idea how to update to the latest version without risking losing all data and I have no idea if that would fix the problems.

It is probably easier to just switch to makingthesite.wordpress.com.. What do you think?
